Once upon a time in a high school a long, long time ago my friend named Eric (for reasons I can’t remember) started doodling on my jeans in the middle of biology class. Somehow we decided that he could make my jeans AWESOME. I brought them to him shortly thereafter and after a long, long wait he brought me this awesomeness. I found these in the attic while I was cleaning it out this week. I didn’t even know I still had them so it was quite a delightful surprise to find this little treasure.

This is our new favorite game. You get four pictures and you have to come up with one word that represents all of the pictures. This one stumped us. Can you figure it out? I’ll give you a hint if you need one.

I am not a huge science fair fan. Liam had to do science fair and Colm opted to do it even though he didn’t have to, so “we” had to do two science fair projects this year. Colm was testing to see which would melt faster: ice cream, sherbet or frozen yogurt. Liam tested to see if he could get a marble to float in salt water and he tested water with various levels of salt…kind of like the Dead Sea. I am just glad to say that they’re done. Thank goodness!

Our school’s first place team qualified for state after getting third place at regionals. Today was their big day. They placed in the top eight, which they should feel great about. I know they were disappointed and had hoped they would make it further, but they should be proud of themselves. Getting to state is a great accomplishment.

We had a GREAT time at our first Trailblazers game! They didn’t win, but they were playing the Oklahoma City Thunder, so the boys got to see KD, which they thought was awesome. The fans were well-behaved, parking was easy as was getting out after it was over. The Trailblazers organization is running a first-class family-friendly program.

I love that the boys are working on this puzzle together, but WHY must they work on the floor? Why couldn’t they work on it on a table where it would be up and off of the floor?

Thank God for Badge Magic! A friend of mine who has a Girl Scout told me that this is the stuff she uses to adhere her daughter’s badges onto her GS uniform. This is exactly what I need to get the boys’ patches onto their TKD uniforms. It is hard to sew through those badges…I’ve even broken a needle. Woohoo for Badge Magic!

We are getting ready to embark on a huge and exciting new project at our school…One School, One Book. Every family in the school receives a copy of the same book as do the teachers, staff, custodians, bus drivers, etc. There are a lot of really fun things that will be going on throughout the month as families are reading together at home. We will even have a real hamster living at our school for the month.

I am pretty sure I have the best friends in the world. My friend, Kim, brought these over today with a sweet sympathy card. I asked her what kind of flowers they were and she said she didn’t know, but that she just liked the color. I looked at the tag and they were freesias. My grandma’s last name was Friese. I would say these are the perfect flowers to remember my grandmother.

I have book club tomorrow and there is no way I am going to finish this book by then. I am going to try and read as much as I can tomorrow, but there are over 300 pages in this book and I am not even up to page 100 yet.
