Whenever I request a bunch of books from the library they all seem to show up at the same time. Now I have to decide what to read next…not an easy decision.

This is SUCH a good book! It’s historical fiction based on the events surrounding Stalin’s evacuation of citizens out of the Baltic region. It’s told from the point of view of a teenage girl. It reads a lot like a story from the Holocaust.

I wish we would have moved here when the boys were younger because they REALLY would have loved this. Liam is getting a little too old for this, but a friend of his invited us to go, so we went. They ended up having an okay time, but the real fun began when we went back to their house and a full-on game of World Cup got started with all of the boys in the neighborhood. We were there for about 1 1/2 hours longer than we’d planned. That’s what summer is all about though.

It’s a little early to be buying school supplies, but I wanted to go before everyone and their mother goes and picks over everything. I am not used to going shopping for school supplies since we’ve always just been able to buy them from the school, but the middle school doesn’t do that so off to Office Depot I went. I got everything he needs except the for fancy calculator he needs…I am going to let Sean figure that part out.

Colm is at golf camp this week which he LOVES. This is his third time at golf camp and he can’t wait to go again next year.

Liam’s at dissection camp this week. So far they’ve dissected a shark and a frog. He is LOVING this camp and is not grossed out at all which is kind of weird, but I guess it takes all kinds.

One of Liam’s friends and his sister had a lemonade stand today. Not only did I get lemonade, but I got the option of getting crushed blackberries in my lemonade AND I got a discount for being the mom of a friend. 🙂
